You can do mulitplayer via direct IP if you can find people to play with. Or a VPN, something like tunngle or himatchi

besides making trusted friends online or having people in your local area doing a lan party. think equinox pretty much told you basics.

For those who are looking to join in on MP games of KoW, I have started a discord group recently called the Art of War. As of now, people are regularly playing and we have regular large Reunion games, which are typically early evening to late evening EST.

Anyone is welcome to join the discord. Most of us have known each other for years but we also have new players as well. If you are new to MP, we'd be happy to teach you some of the basic strategies often used.

As for playing the game itself, we use Hamachi. You can use a direct connect to the IP but you'd need to know how to actually set it up, which usually means going into your router settings.
