how do you get the trading cards and the backgrounds for you profile i am quite curious, sorry if i sound dumb its my first time spending a lot of money on steam

You get 3 trading cards if you play the game. You have to buy the misssing cards to the game's badge (from steam market). After you craft a badge you get 1 profile background and 1 emoticon. :ToastKitty:
