Game goes to blackscreen near the beggining

In the start of the game, right after the characters discover the Elder Things, the screen goes black, I can still hear a couple of characters talking about stealing an ancient artifact, but I don't see anything and I can't interact with anything. Then the game sort of crashes and I have to forcely close it. I've tried reinstaling but the problem persists. Any help?...

Achievements

Pixel hunter seems to not work. I'm certain I've finished the game the second time without any highlights and didn't get the achievement. 0% of players on Steam having that might be indicative of it not working. Also got Kickstarter stalker left, if anyone knows where that is, help is appreciated.
