Should I play Conarium first?

It's my favorite type of games. But I have seen somewhere that this one is in the same universe. So should I play Conarium first or games not connected to each other?

BlackWater has Transient: Extended Edition

I enjoyed Conarium and was told if I liked that I will like Transient.

It's not necessary, though the protagonist from Conarium does make a cameo near the end, you really don't need to know his story to enjoy this game, they share the same universe but they're wholly separate, self-contained stories.
