Out of memory :(
Any fix for this? Happens pretty frequently.

Also went from a broke noob to... a broke conqueror :D https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2946243338

It is a problem with the game engine itself. All of the Making History games have the memory bug. If you increased virtual memory in Windows that can help avoid the issue.

From what I see on your screenshot, you have exceeded the scenario length by 100+ turns. Data builds up over time and the chance of memory crash can increase. Granted, it would be ideal if the game was 64bit and memory would be less of an issue.

Are you at liberty to say whether or not future Making History titles will be 64bit?

I can say that we have done work on a new game engine - is 64bit. That process has been interrupted several times. It is also possible we'll do a final release on this engine in order to fund the next. Likewise, we've been doing these translation releases to increase revenue.

Im in turn 274/400 and this issue is constant. I'm having to save and redo 4 or 5 times per turn. 32 gigs of ram and have never had this type of issue with any other game.
As this is unplayable am I able to request refund albeit beyond 2 hour playtime? Feels as though I have been sold a faulty product that is known to be faulty

I have much less ram than you but never once had a out of memory error with these Making History games. It is not a faulty product but is has an older game engine. It could be your hardware is too advanced and is optimized for the next generation of games.

Could be but Hearts of Iron 4 does not have it which does make it a better experience

No issues running Making history the second world war so feel as though this is a problem with this particular game. If anyone has a fix or a work around pls post a comment Thanks!

My friends worked on this a bit. We installed a 4gb patch to the DLL's and Exe's to fix this a bit.

Where could this be found?

I keep getting this error even in the Editor. I remember playing the game on a Windows 10 PC without issue. Do you guys have W11 or 10? Perhaps I should try compability mode. Cause I remember playing around 1000 turns earlier. Although not sure if it was this one or the other games of the MH

I have never once seen that memory error in this games series and I use windows 7 so it should be best to set compatability to win7.

I just play hearts of iron 4 now myself instead. At first I thought that game was more complicated but it's actually the opposite and hoi4 is so much easier.

I tried, still getting the error. I remember playing the great war of MH series for thousands of turns and never get such an error. For sure a fix needed. I want to play the game with my friens for a long run (1000-2000 turns) yet Im not even able to play the game alone atm because of the memory crashes. There must be an easy fix for it but who will gonna do it? :)
