Killed the witches , became a Saint.Be worshipped, in the spare time , play with Anna´s "jiggle physics"
I don´t even care about the witches motivations.
I just wanted to kill the princess myself, was that too much to ask for?
I usually try to pick the best ending first, since the first ending I get is usually the one that lasts the longest in my memory. And, as stated before, the heretic ending seemed the morally right one.
Now I just beat it again so I could watch the saint ending.
My first choice was the heretic ending.
Meanwhile what are the witches doing? Slaughtering people in rituals because they think that mankind is evil and must be replaced with a giant forest. (Incidentally, lore is a bit confusing, but from the royal remains, it seems that Princess P killed her own mother in a ritual...)
At least the game's author probably keeps her shrink's family well fed.
Anyway... Letting Princess A kill the sister who was about to kill her seemed pretty fair, so I ended up with Saint ending. Then dug up an online video of the other ending because I didn't want to wade through that lousy gameplay again. Good thing, because I would have really hated to spend that much time to get that ending. (Even more ham-fisted "Church is bad!" writing.)
For a better two sided story (and better gameplay) try Sundered. https://store.steampowered.com/app/535480/Sundered_Eldritch_Edition/
that's how we know Rockstar is doing coke all day and stealing cars, shooting ppl in the streets
we know everyoen at nintendo eats mushrooms on the daily, and then stomps on local wildlife
and it's just comforting to know bethesda actually built rall fallout shelters irl.
great things here, liek I said - it's just nice that every game is a literal reflection on the creator. That way we don't have to use our brains :)
Particularly indicative: Despite literally wading through pools of blood from witches, dealing with a witch who apparently slaughtered her own mother for a ritual, we get zero lore drops about how witches might be bad, while meanwhile being inundated with lore about how evil the church is. It's not just that it's one-sided, its that it's hamfistedly one-sided.
What really put's the author's thoughts so much in question is that this is such an obvious problem -- but the author completely fails to address it -- as if totally blind to it.
Vs. Sundered where the presentation of the various sides is quite even. The author is clearly aware of the cons as well as the pros of each sides.
Imo, the world can be summed up like this: The Church is corrupt, craving the finest luxuries and absolute power over actual religious messages. Meanwhile, the Witches who wish to become one with nature are also attempting to "free the planet from the destruction caused by mankind", which pretty blatantly suggests they want to kill off the human race. There are few who don't follow either path to the extreme, and even those who DON'T follow one of those paths may not be much better than those who do. We don't really know the true beliefs of Minoria herself, but is it a stretch to say that both the Church AND the Witches may have distorted the true story for what fits them best?
Let this be a reminder that I'm horrible at summaries and you both don't have to and probably shouldn't listen to me because I may have described the exact opposite of what the game is actually saying-
i jokely said no just to annoy the princess. little did i know i just picked the bad ending.
long story short, once i get the 'good' ending, i felled empty and the bad ending seems canon
