look for a similar sounding area on the map, its on the coast to the top area.

Can confirm, it's not broken. You have to pick up the .243 rifle and the various .243 rifle / 20 GA shotgun ammo around the house (all of them).

Never mind - the level had broken. When I reloaded the game I found the rifle

It was in the closet, ground floor of the house
