The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan is a nice starting point to a series that tries to recreate the horror movie scene with a choose your own adventure gaming experience. From the start you are thrust into a story of what is real and what isn't and you try to play the game the best you can with the info you have on hand.

Graphics are nice, with added ray tracing for DX12 launcher, and environments are believable and characters are pretty fleshed out, with a few minor flaws here and there like exaggerated faces and reactions sometimes throwing you off. Sound design is good, nothing special, but enough to make you feel uneasy at moments, which is what you need in a horror game.

I enjoy this style of game, it's part movie, part book, part game that makes it a great game to sit back and relax and just enjoy playing.

Probably more funny than it needs to be... But if you don't take it too seriously its quite good. 6/10

First of all, this is pure cinema. Quite short. Quite scary. This is also a rare game that my wife and I play together in turns. So, for me it is special. Little Hope is next.

I’m blown away that this game isn’t rated higher. I just played with a friend and thought it was absolutely phenomenal.

Story is cool, acting is great, environments are insanely alive with detail. Great slow tension build to a waking nightmare. Very cinematic and feels like playing a horror movie. We “beat it” in 4 hours, but there is a lot of replay ability I think. I’ll definitely do a solo run at some point. If you like horror, absolutely give it a go.

100% will be buying the full series.

Very entertaining and replayable

not as good as the Quarry but, Still a decent play thru. Story is alright but kind of messy and sometimes the scene seems to cut hard to do fast time events or making decision 7/10

Honestly one of the best games I've played in a long time. I couldn't put it down. Spent a couple hours and finished the whole game. Got the whole season after that. It will definitely grab your attention and have you hollering at the screen!

Very predictable and too much reliant on jumpscare but the choices you can make throughout are really well done.
