the game crashes
Am I the only one who has troubles with this game?
It has crashed two times already, not sure if I should wait patches or it's just a problem with my pc.
Firis port was okay, though, so it was unexpectedly for me to have problems with Totori. Too bad.

I had one freeze that required me to close the game in about 60 hours of game play. That's normal for any PC game really. I'm actually surprised how smooth my experience has been considereing Koei Tecmo have a poor track record for porting Ateliers to PC. I remember waiting for months for them to patch in the DLC for Firis that should have been there from the start. I wouldn't hold your breath for a patch for any of these titles.

A game crashes in combat constantly for me, can't play. I had no such problem with any other Atelier game on steam (haven't played only Meruru still)

It could be sound related problem, because the last time it crashed I noticed screeching sound right before it. Not sure though

I have the crashing issue too actually. For me the crash happens when I'm throwing a bomb, not every time on bomb use but that's always when the crash happens. I have to immediately close the game because leaving it too long will hardlock the system with the terrible audio screech.

Sorry to respond to something this old, but I just had this happen when trying to throw a Craft. Had to restart my pc cause all my programs crashed, too. Have you found any fixes, or is bearing with it all we can do?
Oh wow only saw this because of some random green (1) notification. I'm not sure that I ever found a fix unfortunately, sorry. Were you listening to music in another program at the time? I vaguely recall it was possibly that, or alternately try running it in windowed vs non windowed modes.

Hmmm I see. No I did not play any musc but if it happens more frequently I can try windowed. Usually don't like to use Windowed, so 1 crash per 10 hours is fine, but I hope it doesnt start happening more from now on.
Ty for the reply anyway :D
I *want* to say I was encountering it more often when I had alt tabbed during the play session, but again it's been long enough and I've burned through several Ateliers since. I do recall managing to finish Totori however, and going so far as doing most of a second play session, so I might've just saved with fierce paranoia. Sorry I can't be more help. I know how incredibly frustrating it can be to have obscure technical issues.

No problem, thanks for at least trying to anyway :D I also save a lot but it's indeed frustrating in games like this when you do lots of parts where you cant save (until you're back in town)

I've had it happen while trying to use a Craft in battle, but just now, I crashed while looking at Tiffany's shop.

Yeah it's a bummer and I don't think we can hope for a fix for it ever unfortunately. Just save save save save and hope for the best.

Mine crashed a couple times. And it closes. Specially in windowed.
Full Screen crashed less.
But the Rorona I played Smoothly... This one is giving me some headache.
The game is buggy as hell. Tons of crashes. But the crashing spree started when going to Calamitous Mountain. Before that, only 1 crash in 12 hours.
But now I'm stuck in the mountain because crashes every time I fight with monsters.
This thread is an old friend that I get to hear from every couple of months. :D I'd unsubscribe but I kind of love it lol. In regards to above I'd try toggling windowed vs fullscreen mode and see if that helps you escape from crash mountain.

I know the feeling. I have that with a couple of threads. "Why am I still subbed to this? Well... why not?"

This one though can stick around for maybe there will be a miracle fix posted at some point.

What? A guy can hope! ^^
Guys, have you played Rorona before Totori? Or Meruru. Have they had the same problem? They are using one engine, so I assume they had, but I'm kinda curious now.
