Could be the launcher, or it could be unsupported video format (which I believe is the issue with Falcom games)

If a game wasn't verified by Valve employees it reads 'Unsupported' by default, that usually just means it hasn't been checked. The game works great! Although the image does appear to be stretched slightly? It looks good - just requires you to get past the launcher which requires mouse/touch screen.

game run fine on steam deck, the only issue you need a trackpad or a mouse to start game trough launcher it can even run 4k60 when docked.You can use DS4 or DS5 then you will able to the mouse cursor at launch thanks to the touchpad, if you are planning to play docked,

If you hold the Steam button and use the right trackpad, you can move the mouse cursor on these launchers! So you actually don't need a mouse.

You should also be able to use the touch screen, but let's not smudge the screen!
