I am excited for Basingstoke.
I need to finish of the World screen now, just a bit busy at work at the moment. Todo on the World screen:
- Selected territory details
- A few navigation controls
- UI widgets for the various display filters to show different information overlays
Once the World bit is done I can finally move on to the most interesting part, which is the Deployment screen. Yes, the bit where you actually create battles!
Basingstoke of course also continues apace, with Chaz and Alli on it full-time. Video at the weekend!
Actually progress on Battledroid has stalled for 6 months. (Gah)
We've now focused on producing and finishing Basingstoke - which is taking far longer than we thought it was going to take, mostly because we decided to make it far more amazing than we originally planned.
While Basingstoke is going on, I've been relegated to design and testing and minor biz wrangling. I suppose you might call me a producer. I fit that in around the skull-crushingly depressing contract that I otherwise have to do to maintain a roof over my head because the Patreon is only bringing in approximately 2% of the money we need for me to go back to being full-time. (We need about $5k, Patreon is managing all of... $180 :()
I think Basingstoke has got another 10 months to go or so.
The plan is, once it is released, that myself and Chaz can put some more serious effort into Battledroid again. In the meantime I'm keeping it ticking over with odds and sods.
