Game crashing when it attempts to save
Recent issue, whenever the game tries to manipulate the save data (autosaves, starting a new game, or deleting a save file) the game instantly crashes. I know it's caused by saving because I can load into Futo's basement and run around perfectly fine, but when I try to leave or return to main menu the game crashes and doesn't update the save file.

any ideas on how to fix?

alright so I verified the files integrity and turned off onedrive and one of those two things seems to have fixed it? dunno. still wondering if anyone knows what happened

Probably some interaction of One Drive, antivirus, and Windows itself causing the file to lock (become read-only) and become temporarily unwritable. Bad error handling when game tries to save and fails could cause a crash.

I've seen similar stuff with other games when an old drive had slow/delayed writes; when saves took longer than expected, some games just froze or stuttered for 10-20 seconds, others reported "save failed" and I could try again until it succeeds, and some crashed.

I doubt it's a hard-drive issue since you fixed it by disabling One Drive, but maybe run a disk health check just in case.
