When can we see a offline mode

Hi all, im trying to find people to play godfall, add and pm me me and my 2 friends, one girl, one man. We are level around 100, can go up to nearly floor 17 tower Try to unlock shards and challenge for more on light bringer, spirit realm... We use discord too Can add from epicgames too...

I just read that the game is always online, at least to start the game, even when playing solo. Is there really no offline-mode at all? I can't play when on the move? And what will happen when they close their server? Will I have paid for nothing?
