Can anybody tell me how to get the fire spirit?
After all the things I tried, doing things not doing things switching things around yadda yadda all I've been able to do is flip flop between water and wind.

It's based on how fast you get to the spirit chamber. If you take your time in the game, you get Water. If you're reasonably quick, you get Wind. To get Fire, you have to speedrun the game.
