Bonjour, j'ai le même problème que toi zaf , sur mac également os 10.13.6 , peu importe la langue sélectionné il n'y a que l'anglais qui fonctionne, est-ce que quelqu'un aurait une solution ?(j'ai bien un dossier French avec un fichier data.m4b et un autre sound.m4b ainsi que installscript_French.vdf sur mon mac) ; car je ne pense pas que nous soyons les seuls à avoir se problème de langues, en espérant trouver une âme charitable pour nous les passionner de Myst Merci

Hello, J'ai le même problème. j'ai contacté Cyan et m'ont conseillé cette procédure :
1. Uninstall the game
2. Log out of your Steam account and close the Steam interface
3. Restart the Mac
4. Start Steam and log back into your account
5. Re-install the game
6. Fo to the game library in Steam
7. Go to Myst IV, and select Properties from the Settings there
8. Select Language next, then choose french.

ça n'a pas eu d'effet pour moi, même en essayant d'autres langues.

En dernier recours, ils m'ont annoncé cela :

If they do not, please contact Steam Support with this information and request they check the steps with you. It may be an issue between your computer and the Steam interface.

Mais impossible de trouver comment contacter le support Steam. directement. Avez-vous une piste ?

Sur Mac Ventura, j'ai eu le meme probleme. Après discussion avec le support technique de Cyan, rien à faire, alors j'ai farfouillé dans les dossiers cachés et ai trouvé.

La solution est un peu tordue, mais voici ce qui a fonctionné :

1 - aller dans Utilisateurs/bibliothèque (si elle n'apparait pas : Finder, menu "aller à" + bouton "option" enfoncé.

2 - chercher le dossier : "Application support" puis : Steam/steamapps/common/ Myst IV Revelation/data
dedans, il y a un dossier "french" (et le manuel en français aussi !). Copier ce dossier 'french"

3 - Toujours dans Utilisateur/bibliothèque, chercher cette fois :
Myst _Revelation /bottles/myst iv/ drive_c/Myst4/ data/

et là,
- coller le dossier "french"
- enlever le dossier "english" (on peut le sauvegarder dans un coin du bureau, au cas-où)

4 - revenir à Utilisateur / bibliothèque, cette fois aller dans :
Steam/steamapps/common/Myst IV Revelation

Là, faire un clic droit sur l'icône du jeu et choisir "montrer le contenu du paquet". S'ouvre alors un dossier "Contents".

5 - Aller à
SharedSupport/myst_iv/support/myst_iv/drive_c/Myst4/data/

Répéter les actions de l'étape "3" , à savoir : coller le dossier "french" et enlever le dossier "english" pour lui aussi le mettre et sauvegarder ailleurs.

Remarque : peut-être qu'on peut laisser ce dossier "english", mais j'ai préféré l'enlever.

Apparemment, Steam n'installe pas le français dans tous les dossiers requis, où il y a un bug quelque part, mais en tous cas, ça fonctionne !
Même les sous-titres sont en français si on les active.

En espérant que ça aide les frenchies :-)

On Mac Ventura, I had the same problem. After discussion with Cyan technical support, nothing to do, so I rummaged in the hidden folders and found.

The solution is a bit twisted, but here is what worked:

1 - go to Users/library (if it does not appear: Finder, "go to" menu + "option" button pressed.

2 - look for the folder: "Application support" then: Steam/steamapps/common/ Myst IV Revelation/data
inside, there is a "french" folder (and the manual in French too!). Copy this 'french' folder

3 - Still in User/library, look this time for:
Myst _Revelation /bottles/myst iv/ drive_c/Myst4/ data/

and there,
- paste the "french" folder
- remove the "english" folder (you can save it in a corner of the desktop, just in case)

4 - go back to User/library, this time go to:
Steam/steamapps/common/Myst IV Revelation

There, right-click on the icon of the game and choose "show package contents". A "Contents" folder will then open.

5 - Go to
SharedSupport/myst_iv/support/myst_iv/drive_c/Myst4/data/

Repeat the actions of step "3", namely: paste the "french" folder and remove the "english" folder to also put it and save it elsewhere.

Note: maybe we can leave this "english" folder, but I preferred to remove it.

Apparently, Steam does not install French in all the required folders, or there is a bug somewhere, but in any case, it works!
Even the subtitles are in French if you activate them.
