Do you need your own party or can you queue up with randoms.

even you have AI/bot player so it dosn't matter unless you want pvp?

You can find random players playing on random lobbies in all difficulties for certain. I once joined an EU server but was pretty late my time, max ping I've got was 230, then 120 on US servers. (My main server is SA)
Game is not dead, but heavens know when TRS will decide to shutdown the servers.
