OCTOPATH TRAVELER for PC brings the game’s distinctive HD-2D graphics to life like never before. It features a unique visual style that combines detailed 2D characters with beautiful 3D environments - you won’t have played anything that looks quite like it.

The game also features eight characters, each with their own skills and storylines. From haunted thieves and enthusiastic apothecaries, to naïve scholars and noble warriors, there’s someone for everyone in this motley crew and, rather brilliantly, you can play through their tales in any order you like.

You’ll also have to make smart use of their skills - both in and out of combat. Every character has ‘Path Actions’ - unique abilities that can help you progress the story, find hidden items, or get an edge in battle.

What is OCTOPATH TRAVELER?
OCTOPATH TRAVELER is an epic RPG, set in the world of Orsterra. You’ll control 8 unique heroes - each with their own special skills and compelling stories. The cast includes:

• Olberic: a legendary knight seeking redemption for past failures

• Cyrus: an intelligent scholar who struggles with the mysteries of the heart

• Tressa: a passionate merchant who always has an eye for a good trade

• Ophilia: a pure-hearted cleric on a pilgrimage around the world

• Primrose: an orphaned noble who will let nothing stand between her and revenge

• Alfyn: an apothecary who wants to help and heal above all else

• Therion: a skilled thief who can get into any treasure room

• H’aanit: a professional hunter, who searches for her missing master

It’s possible to start the game with any of these characters, and build your party in any order you wish. Every character has a unique story, combat skills and ‘Path Actions’ - abilities they use outside of combat.

For example, Alfyn can inquire about mission-critical information, Tressa can buy special items and Primrose can allure followers to help her in battle.

An accessible and deep battle system
Those battles are something to look forward to, thanks to OCTOPATH TRAVELER’s deep but accessible battle system.

The key to success is to ‘break’ your opponent. Every enemy you fight has a shield, which can be removed by targeting their weaknesses. Remove the shield, and they’ll be put in a vulnerable state where you can really do some damage.
It’s easy to understand, but with lots of different weaknesses, status effects, shield strengths and more, you’ll have to think strategically to succeed.

A distinctive visual style
OCTOPATH TRAVELER has a unique look that combines modern graphics with classic 16-bit era-inspired textures and character sprites.

It’s an intriguing mix of old and new that looks beautiful in motion, and unlike anything you’ll have seen before.
