But now only veterans play and easily discourage any newbies and returning players that tries the game.
Yep, and it looks like they're still going to head into their 3rd year of barely being alive
When they changed the 6 vs 6 fights to 4 vs 4, everyone left, because before in the melee you could hope to kill 1 or 2 guys even if you weren't cheaters. Now, it's dead, only 1 guy from the opposing team is cleaning up all by himself, because it would be too hard to make a ranking of kill/death ratio on an excel spreadsheet in order to leave the elites among themselves and be able to play peacefully between people of our level. So not only have we been bored on the same maps since the game came out, but when you find a dragon you're almost already dead.
To compensate for all that, Paywing released dragon skins for €20 and karting circuits for dragons... (...).
This game was always meant to be a competitive game
What does that have to do with anything
From store page:
"Century: Age of Ashes is a free-to-play multiplayer dragon shooter. Master a growing roster of classes and dragons, compete in intense arena battles and rule the skies in fast-paced aerial combats."
Sounds competitive to me
If you want to play casually, go ask some pple in the official discord to play with you
Agreed 100%.
Personally I love the concept and the time I did play in multiplayer I really enjoyed it. However, I stopped because of the season pass. I bought it, it ended before I got everything as this is a game I enjoyed played an hour or two ever couple of days. Then I never went back to play after the season since I no longer had the "pass".
I think if they made a singleplayer story mode I would buy it instantly. But I have no desire to hop in a game with little to no purpose when I have other games I can set goals in when I play.
but I'm probably not the target audience since I dont care that much about Multiplayer rankings now that I'm older.
many people just drop out of a game upon seeing players with really expensive skins n stuff because theyre usually vets
leaves you in a 1v4 more often than not
