The Tale of Bistun is an action adventure based on the Persian mythology. Playing as a man with amnesia and great axe wielding skills, you have to find who you are, what happened to you, to save your love and perhaps the whole world.
Now, to be honest, i was completely ignorant about this legend, but after playing the game i have fixed this mistake (and you will find a wiki link down below).
As a game "The Tale of Bistun" is...almost good. The visuals are great, the voice overs are better than i usually expect from indie games, the story is interesting, even if it's not handled in the best possible way, the simple combat system works well enough.
That being said, the music is bad, and for some reason i have the feeling that at some point the devs ran out of money - and because of that there are parts of the game that look like a filler (and bear in mind that The Tale of Bistun is short game - you can finish is in about 3 hours).
So..yeah. Almost good. Good enough for me to play it until the end (and maybe even play it again in order to collect all achievements), but for sure not a game ill be telling my grand kids about.
If you want to kills some baddies, solve some really easy puzzles and save your loved one in the beautiful Arab world, give this game a chance.
