corny dialogue from every character and the game isnt as fun as it looks :( feels like im doing a chore trying to find the fun part

I lanced a jet and it was satisfying.

As an Ace Combat lover, i had to give the 2d equivalent (with less pseudorealism) of the franchise a go.
I can say, all things considered, it's a satisfying experience and worth the small price.
More details:

The plot is a paperthin excuse to blow things up, this is no ff14.
Don't expect depth, just enjoy the spectacle.
The characters too, are mostly generic. Maybe good for a small chuckle, but nothing major.

This one's not for newbies, gameplay wise.
The gameplay is responsive and fast (especially if you're like me and go full mobility at the cost of having one hp), but the screen turns into a wall of death and missiles in later stages.
It's no matter of luck if you make it through, but it can be really challenging to survive - especially hitless.
If you don't have ADHD or are just slower to react, you're in trouble.

One of the most fun shmup like experiences I've had in a while. Aircraft controls with mouse and keyboard work well. All systems are fun to engage with and feel like you are in control. Trying to go for higher ranks or highscores in arcade mode is great, but has quite a bit randomness with enemy spawns and upgrades.

Soundtrack and graphics give nice vibes to the whole experience. Story is pretty fun to follow with a lot of dialogue. I've kept returning to this game mostly because of high amounts of replayable content.
