The Liberation doesn't lag, but the main game lags a lot.

Update: I found a fix, open task manager, select ACIII.exe, go to affinity, and uncheck CPU0.

SOOOO MANY BUGS AND GLITCHES! Felt like this remaster is just a scam for money. This is the only AC game that I just rushed the campaign story and deleted the game.

TLDR:

Things I liked:
- Only enjoyed the parkour in trees.
- Some nice scenery.

Things I hated:
- Everything else felt bland/boring.
- Horrible stealth detection. Enemies detect you from far away or even with backs turned.
- Character doesn't duck back into bushes once the enemy spots you (yellow indicator) which is annoying. You can only runaway to reduce the chance of conflict.
- No encouragement for stealth and little possibilities in most missions.

Other things I disliked (but guessing limitations due to an older game being remastered):
- Parkour in city is not enjoyable. The buildings are not well connected (These were much better in AC Black flag, Rogue and Unity - you can simply stick to rooftops in them without having to come down and getting back up)
- Viewpoints are useless and not used for fast travel. Fast travel locations are too widely spread out.
- Horse-riding felt cringe and jittery.
- Too many follow this/that person missions which was very boring especially on horse-back. Would have been better if an automatic follow objective/road option (like in the latest AC games) was included.


Recently, I had decided to replay AC Black Flag and Rogue only to re-find my love for this series. They reminded me of what Assassin Creed games were meant to be- Parkour and stealth. In my experience, those two were the most polished (zero to minimal glitches/bugs) with reliable parkour and stealth. Enjoyed them the most, of all AC games.

But then decided to try AC3 remastered hoping to enjoy its unique aspects such as its hunting experience, its map and parkour on trees. But with the several bugs, it was absolute frustration with bad stealth detection and so many glitches. If you want to enjoy the AC3 style map, I recommend avoiding AC3 and trying AC Rogue instead which gives a somewhat similar and much better experience.

Went back 10 years ago finished this game and came back in one piece.

Playing this game again after a decade and boy it does not disappoint. Would recommend 110%

Combat is the best part but stealth is almost useless. Doing the homestead missions will improve the main story as well and make conner a better character.
