Hello everyone! I hope you all have fab plans ahead for the weekend.
Just to let everyone know there is a patch landing early next week & it's just getting it's final touches currently. It's mainly addressing some strange behaviour from some of the hint flames & some other little oddities.

Also for future patches I'll be folding in some more player pets so if you would like your fuzzy, scaly or ...slimy? friend to possibly appear in the background I've got this form you can send a picture & details through, where I've been dipping in and grabbing from.

Hello everyone! I hope you've been having a great day so far.
A very short and sweet post here, it's some patch-notes :D

Patchnotes for V1.97

Edited script re-applied in some scenes, fixing several spelling and grammar mistakes.

Improved tavern interiors handling of auto-saving.

The game is now live and roaming free like a naughty wild thing.
It's been a really fun year or so and I've learned heaps and grown a lot. I can't thank Armor Games Studios enough for giving me the opportunity to focus on creating this & for the huge level of support I've received from friendly faces checking in and cheering, it's been really heartwarming and a fantastic experience.

I hope everyone enjoys it!

This is start of a fantastic journey & I cannot wait to get stuck onto new and exciting new roads using all the things I've learned.

With roughly 24 hours to go now until the big launch I'm really enjoying looking over some of the the very lovely pets I've been sent to soothe me. Thank you to everyone who took the time to do so and it really shows from the things everyone wrote about their pets exactly how much they mean to all of us. I particularly enjoyed that about half of all people submitting told me their pets 'professional' sensible name, swiftly followed by a flurry of affectionate gremlin style names which are the most commonly used by everyone in your households. (these are were fantastic & you should all be very pleased)

I've gathered up an image of a very small selection of some pets which were submitted and used in game. I'll more than very likely be adding some more post release with patches which roll out.

This is a very quick little post but with a very important info-nugget!
It's finally time & the date has been set!
It's been an amazing journey and I can't wait to share the end product with everyone.

The release date is set for June 17th!
I really hope to see you there :D
Don't forget to wish-list if you haven't already, as it helps a tremendous amount.
I've had a wonderful time with fantastic support and surrounded by warm talented people and can't thank everyone enough.

Things are really starting to move quickly and it's exciting and scary in equal measure! It's bug smashing and final touches at this point and I'm really enjoying myself with it.

One thing I've always liked to do is to smuggle in little details for my pets into the backgrounds. because I think we all treasure our little fluffy friends (or scaly or otherwise, they are all good!)

My gremlins... this could be YOUR gremlins!

If you have a treasured companion you might enjoy seeing in the background (past or present) please send me along a picture of them and their name plus your name/alias also so I can mention you. if you are feeling inspired I would love to hear about them a little too. I'll do my best to place our little friends in the scenery.

This past month has been all hands on deck (I wish I had more than two) it's tiring, but really satisfying!

This months entry is going to be a fairly quick read as most of the months work has been a lot of dialog/spoilery and non-visual things.

I do have some news to share though!

I received some questions about the process of creating a game and what I've learned this past year, I popped them up in a post on Imgur here.[imgur.com]

This in particular makes me really really happy as it was such a huge help to me, and also the ease with which you can access and distribute games. The small team at itch are hugely passionate about what they do and it shows.

I know what we can do, I can share some of the really lovely things I've been sent!

It's hard to describe how moving it is that someone might dedicate any portion of time to creating something inspired by these characters and their world. I've never had anything like that happen before. It sends me into a wild glee and I do the rounds shoving it under everyone's nose who I come into contact with, to croon over it with me. It's also delicious how much personal flair everyone puts on them because they are all fairly simple characters.
(I could keep on gushing, I'll put a cork in it here.)


I'll include a couple each month because I want to celebrate and share these fine folks work.

Hello! I hope everyone is keeping well and that your beginnings to the year so far have been mighty!


Something very exciting I got to do this past month for the first time were some audio interviews. I did my first live with Joy FM for the show Checkpoint, where Luke & the team there were so warm and welcoming that my nerves vanished pretty quickly. I was more concerned that my connection would suddenly blip out that anything else by the end, They were such a bubbly team of people to talk to.

I've brought along some more screenshots to show you too!
The first one is Hebble's Adventurer's guild clubhouse where I can slap plenty of cartoon animal heads on the wall and decorate with animal based furniture. I'm fond of the dodo plant pot, it looks less impressed though.

Secondly are my horrible goblin children, super enthusiastic but heavily destructive and act on impulse. They say pretty much exactly whats on their minds and aren't afraid or even aware of offending anyone. They are like wild kids.

Lastly is the tavern, Hebble has been on his break for about a week. Cow's not really very clued in on workplace law, so Hebble's just creating the ideal environment for himself, one where he pretty much does nothing.
He's over the moon about this.
On the music front Nathan has been hard at work creating music for the last few scenes. It's wonderful how much life they give to each location.

A Very Happy New Year!
Hello and welcome to 2019.
Let's hope it'll be a good one!


It's so exciting to think I'll be releasing a game this year on Steam, it's been wild now having a real page, with a trailer and everything. It makes me all emotional that I can make something from my little corner of the world and share it with others so far away. If you are interested do take the time to wishlist as it means a great deal.

The locations showcased in the screenshots below are firstly of Cow's shop where he can live his dream of owning a general store which sells nothing of importance & has no intention of making money. For anyone who has been working retail over this holiday season you are a champ. Cow has managed to offload all his complaints onto a pet goldfish who will deal with them in due course.

Hebble on the other hand has one goal in mind when playing and it's how to be the focus of every scene and ham up every role he can. He's an attention seeking gremlin but he's harmless. He's incredibly happy being a mermaid because that'll mean he's hot and that means even more eyes on him. It's a horrible cycle of Hebble looking for compliments to feed his ego.

Finally Min role-plays like that mild mannered relative who when playing Monopoly becomes a frothing cut-throat tyrant. She loves all the strong and moody characters and so is brooding away on her little private island with a hefty battleaxe close at hand. >:}
