How do weak points work in this game?
I got this game since it was like 6$ and I'm on rank 4 and I still dont get how weak points work. I know bringing the right element is really important in this game, but the enemies usually have only one weak point or take way less damage from my melee and take huge damage from my gun when both are exploiting the same elemental weakness . Is it as simple as some enemies are weaker to the guns than melee weapons or is it more complex than that? thanks in advance!

Damage can seem inconsistent because you'll start off with melee and hits them when their "bonds" (body part essentially) aren't broken yet, once those are broken it'll usually expose more weakpoints and you'll get the big numbers more easily with both melee and guns.

There's also slash, pierce, and crush type of attacks depending on your weapon and some Aragami are more resistant/weak to one of them, using the right one will most likely break bonds easier.

Aragami has specific weak spot against specific damage type. You can either find their weak spot yourself or look it up on wiki.

Also melee crush and gun crush are not the same thing. Personally I think exploiting weak spot does more damage than using their elemental weakness.
