This has become one of my very favorite pick up and play games, and scratches sooo many of the itches I have when it comes to gaming in general. Sure it can be a bit wonky sometimes, and it doesn't have a super polished feel to it, but man if it doesn't leave me looking up Sneaky Yak Studio every few months to see what they're up to.

The complaint people have of 'unforgiving' I don't think is fair, as this game isn't about meticulously planning out the aesthetic design of your school. It's more like: oops, you're new to the game and locked yourself out from building a certain classroom due to your design choices, well the lord of darkness will chase you out soon enough and you'll think twice about your placement at the next school location in the campaign.

Your first few schools are likely to be a bit haphazard, you'll have students rooming together who hate each other, maybe your teachers spend all their time wandering across the map to get coffee from the teacher's lounge leaving the mischief makers to vandalize your assassin's arena while your janitor is running around like crazy because you didn't like the idea of chaining up the students who misbehave. If the antics and humor of that (and way more) isn't what you're looking for in a game, maybe this one is not for you - but I love it.

I've never had two schools the same and I find there is quite a lot to think about and manage as I progress. I'd like it to be easier to manage houses and I'd enjoy MORE management and design options in various areas, but not to the point that it doesn't feel complete as is. I would just sell my pinky toes for some DLC or the news of a sequel.
