Game missing from Google Play store

So, recently I bought a new phone and wanted to install this game on it. But after multiple tries, the game couldn't be found on Google Play store. Was it removed for some reason?

The game is not available in the Google Play Store, but u can have ur progress saved through Google Play Games.

What I'd like to know the most is, why did it get removed from Google Play Store? Devs literally said nothing about the game's removal and why did they do it.
