Valheim

Suggestions/Feedback
If this were my game -- I'd do the following:

1.) Add an option for reducing how much the wind can stop your boat.
2.) Improve build snapping. There is no reason it should be difficult to snap a floor tile to the end of an inclined stair case if you're standing on top of the stairs... or why it's so annoying to snap roof tiles.
3.) More options for how death is handled/Building constraints.
4.) The placement hitboxes on some of the forge/workbench upgrades are terrible. There is no reason for the bellows to not fit nicely up against a wall... or to not be able to fit the smaller ones under the bench... or why they have to be within a certain range of the bench. They could snap on to the work bench or something instead.. You can't even interact with them.. so there is no reason for them to have goofy, poorly sized hit boxes.
5.) Option to remove the workbench/stonecutter as a requirement to build.
6.) Ability to move things after they've been placed...
7.) Ability to build wooden floors/walls/etc before placing a work bench. (It's so stupid that I have to drop a work bench on the grass, then destroy it and rebuild it once I've built a floor.)
8.) Smarter wind. I swear to christ it's like the wind knows what direction I want to sail and it always blows in the absolute worst possible direction EVERY TIME. It is so unbelievably aggravating. If we can't disable the wind, can you guys at least figure out how to make the wind attempt to co-operate?
9.) Option to build using mats directly in your storage chests.
10.) A smelter/Kiln that don't just fart ingots on my floor / ability to attach a chest to/do some kind of automation with these things w/o installing mods.

Almost all of my negative experiences in this game have stemmed from the following:

1.) The wind completely ruining my exploration and forcing me too close to zones I don't want to be in -- or even forcing me to commit to landing to prevent the boat getting destroyed where I get merk'd by enemies I'm not ready to fight yet.

2.) The build snapping just not co-operating at all. Enshrouded has spoiled me.

Love the game, but it'd be so much better with some QoL changes / options for the customizing the exploration process (Ex: Reducing the negative effects of wind blowing into your sails / making the boat handle like the wind is always helping you at least a little.)

Anyways, hope that is useful information to someone. This was my second playthrough of Valheim (killing some time before PoE 2 drops) -- so I kinda knew what I was getting into, this playthrough just kinda validated what I remember about the game from the first time I played too.

The wind is a cool mechanic, but I think at this point it's doing more harm to my enjoyment of the game than it is good.

so as to number 8 defeating the moutains boss gives you a power that makes the wind always at your back and basically solves this problem. Its a big progression step (my suspicion is that the wind is as you say designed to obstruct you up to that point)

Wind is 100% random and perception bias is the only reason why people think it's not.

wind... its fine as is, in my book, but... if you wanted to talk about it... having the wind tied to the terrain and day/night cycles with a smaller amount of randomization would be kinda cool (a bit of 'weather' simulation, even if crude).

This is the truth... If you're willing to dig deep enough you'll find a response explaining that the wind is indeed random (and world wide).

Question though... You have two players on a dedicated server. Both are going in opposite directions, both activate the Moder buff at the same time. What happens?
