Edge of Northern Base is built
I have built a base as close to the North as I dare and not fear I mess up the Northern Update. What should I do while I wait for the Northern trek and my first encounter with a zombie polar bear, start trading with the Santa trader and run naked across floating pieces of ice to recover my gear?

Is it far enough way that if they terraform a bit of the outskirts you’re not gonna lose it?

Honestly, I would not get too involved with that base or store anything important in it.

When they make the world map generator changes for the Northern update they are going to simply say "everything from X distance from the center gets remodeled."

That was how it worked when they did Ashlands and Mistlands updates.
