As someone who has never played OG Resident Evil 2 but watched some videos and read articles, this remake is very well made and almost close to perfection and a very well remake of the 1998 masterpiece. The atmosphere, graphics, the vibes, its own essence, enemies, map design, story, sound design is a one in a million. The feeling of oppression and hopeless in the air of a decaying police station and Raccoon City is something that I barely experienced in a videogame. Puzzles are well made and makes you think just a little bit but are very nice to do.

"Never thought I'd be jealous of a guy in a trench coat chasing me."

Pros:

-Realistic depiction of what happens when you ignore all of the red flags.
-Leon still finds time to look cool while being absolutely terrified.
-Managed to get cardio in while running from Mr. X—finally, a fitness game.
-Zombies have impeccable aim at ruining your day.
-The puzzles make me question my life choices, but hey, at least I'm not a zombie snack (yet).

Cons:

-Mr. X doesn’t know what “personal space” means.
-Seriously, why is everyone in Raccoon City so bad at locking doors?
-Wasted 15 minutes trying to unlock a door only to realize it was push, not pull.
-Thought I was safe in a save room. I was wrong. Very, very wrong.

Final thoughts:
I went in with a gun and a plan. I left with neither. 10/10 would cry in a corner again.

So cool to see they made a game about the guys from Dead by Daylight!!
