Reentry - A Space Flight Simulator

The periscope image of the Earth seems too large
The SEDR 104 says that the four altitude reticles can be used to measure the altitude. Using the knob you can change their position. When "the earth's image is inscribed within the inner square formed by the reticles" then the position of the knob will determine the altitude. In the game, they touch the earth's bounds when the knob is at 50 km, although the true in game altitude is about 200 km.

Thanks for the feedback. The reason for this is that I haven't yet been able to calibrate it correctly after the TSS update. I will try to do so when I get past the core game mechanics stage. :)

This bug still exists. The size of the earth is completely irrelated to altitude. Sometimes it becomes smaller, sometimes larger, regardless of altitude. God knows why.

Hmm, that does indeed sound very strange and is not the experience I see. It would be great with some input to this has I have not heard about this issue from others. It should not, everything is rendered in one single world and each object has it's own matrix with a position and a stable scale. There is no logic that changes the size of the Earth, and the size has been scaled to match the real Earth size (except oblateness that I do not simulate). There is also no changes to the Perspective Matrix used or anything like this.
