This game may now be among my favorite action JRPGs of all time. The main story campaign is a great set piece filled roller coaster that lasts around 15-20 hours, but the thing that's kept me engaged well after seeing the credits is the significant amount of end game content that delivers a very satisfying Monster Hunter MMO-lite sort of experience.

The big selling point for this game is the excellent combat, paired with a big cast of playable characters each with their own unique play style. It's flashy and feels great. And credit to the developers for some excellent balancing and managing to make every character feel viable and powerful.

This game absolutely went through some development hell with the nearly eight years it took from announcement to release, so it's nice to see that it managed to survive that and still emerge as such a great game. Highly recommended!

It's a good game to play with friend. Climbing together through the quest was fun. I really wish I can lock overmastery roll tho.

Don't get this game if you are expecting a story-driven JRPG like Ni No Kuni or Final Fantasy.
I felt like I had jumped into a sequel and had to check with the forums if I had bought the wrong game to start with.
Turns out it is just a lot more combat focused with New Game+ and that sort of thing.

Not my cup of tea, but it may be yours.

I guess the thumbs down is mostly on me for not doing enough research beforehand...

Pros

• Extremely smooth graphics, high and constant FPS, even when plenty of things going on.

• Good sound design and fair voice acting.


Cons

• Story is tripe and dull. Might as well not be there at all.

• The combat system is too simplistic. Button mashing and retreating once in a while gets you a long way. Higher difficulty just makes the enemies into sponges, and it takes a long time whittling them down. No real challenge.

• The characters are bland and cliché - if you've played a JRPG in the past, you've seen it all before.

• This game is meant to be played multiplayer. As a single player game, it doesn't hold a candle to other action RPGs.

The Grind is REAL. I love to Grind but just spending 3-4 hrs for 3 Silver Centrum is too much killing proud boss takes 2-3 mins and playing for 3-4 hrs i finally got 3 silver centrum for my weapon upgrade now i need 5 silver centrum its just to much. Very stupid drop rate.

Piece of ♥♥♥♥ game. Had to abandon save due to inablility to kill omega versa and save always started from just before without any way to back out. And that stupid fight isn't even about your character power but some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ guitar hero style reflex test.

.....Not Impressive .....
So far im not impressed , Who in their right minds have the Interact button as "Y" What side of the moon are they on?

And get this! ... the steering is on the right stick , Great! Right?!, BUT the change target is also on the right steering stick ,- So you can imagine where this is going?, There is a option to turn off auto Switch, but that dosnt work and, Buttons cant be re assigned as far as i can find , Only the RB-LB etc, can be swapped.

Bosses AOE* (Area Of Effect), should be renamed to bosses FAA* (Full Area Affect ) as its not just Pretty , But covers all the battle field and dose mass damage.

I am still in Early doors yet and am hoping this game gets better, but how can it get better When its set up for some alien with long middle finger ?.

The camera has its own "lock-on" too and this acts on its own separate from character weapon lock, and this is worse than the weapon lock for switching target view , its less than a second on one enemy before jumping to the opposite side of the arena to another target, Which in return also changes you're weapon lock target, even if you dont have that on.
It switches fast back and forth, If you are in a circle of AoE you will only run in circles in side it as the camera pans around to opposite side from where you run , this turning your character to run into the camera facing, Basically you will be running in circles trying to escape. If enemy use FAA then it dont really matter as you gonna get dead or badly hurt anyway.

This imo can only be here for the sole purpose of irritating the player, Surely its not b'cos they are That dumb? right?

Also the game is so heavy censored that all the girls are wearing shorts with their dresses lol.
