Crash and Black Screen fixes
Potential crash fixes
NEW - Reinstall Pummel Party to a different HD/SSD
If you have multiple storage devices try reinstalling Pummel Party to a different one.

Update graphics drivers
Update to the latest graphics drivers available for your gpu from the manufacturers website.

Update windows
Make sure that your installation of windows is up to date.

Reinstall Visual c++ redistributable 2010

Disable/Uninstall any programs/overlays with may interfere with the game
e.g. NVIDIA Geforce Experience, Steam Overlay, MSI Afterburner, Citrix Receiver or Citrix Workspace

Disable Nvidia Geforce Experience overlay
A known issue with the nvidia overlay can cause the game to randomly crash after 5-10 minutes of playing
How to disable:
  1. Open up Geforce Experience
  2. Click on the Cogwheel Icon in the Top Right
  3. Go into the General Tab
  4. Disable Ingame Overlay in the left Column
Disable Steam Overlay
Steam overlay has the potential to intefere with the game and cause it to crash

Run as Administrator and Compatibility Mode
  1. Right click Pummel Party in steam and press Properties
  2. Go to the Local Files tab
  3. Press Browse Local Files...
  4. Right click on PummelParty.exe
  5. Click Properties
  6. Go to Compatibility tab
  7. Check run this program in compatibility mode for:
  8. Try different windows versions and test
  9. At the bottom of this page check Run this program as an administrator
Disable Anti-Virus Software
Some anti virus software may cause issues.

Potential Black Screen Fixes
Adjust scaling mode
Nvidia
  1. Open Nvidia Control Panel
  2. Select "Adjust Desktop size and position"
  3. Set "Select a scaling mode:" to No scaling
AMD
  1. Open AMD Radeon settings
  2. Go to Display settings
  3. Change scaling mode from 'preserve aspect ratio' to 'full panel'
Try running the game using different direct x versions
  1. Right click on the game in steam and click properties
  2. Click the "Set Launch Options..." button near the middle of the general tab
    add "-force-d3d9" to the text box without quotations
  3. Press okay and try to launch the game
  4. If this doesn't help repeat the steps above but replace the text in step 2 with
    "-force-d3d10"
    and then
    "-force-d3d12"
Clear all game data
  1. In Windows Explorer enter %appdata%/../LocalLow/
  2. Delete the 'Rebuilt Games' folder
  3. Use the run command (Windows key + R) and enter "regedit". Navigate to "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Rebuilt Games" and delete the whole 'Rebuilt Games' folder
  4. In Windows Explorer enter "%temp%" and delete any folders that mention 'Rebuilt Games' or 'Pummel Party'
  5. In steam verify your game files again
  6. Try launching the game again.
Install Windows 10 Media Pack
some users with Windows 10 Pro N reported the issue solved by installing the Windows 10 Media Pack.https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack

If all else fails
Please send the Player.log, Play-prev.log files and latest crash in "Crashes" folder to info@rebuiltgames.com
These files can be located by pasting
"%appdata%/../LocalLow/Rebuilt Games/Pummel Party/"
into your windows explorer bar without quotation marks
