The Forgotten City VS Ryse: Son Of Rome , which one should I buy first?
Hello everybody, recently I finished a 2D ancient greek indie game and it made me wanna play more games with ancient greek history then I found these two games which was The Forgotten City + Ryse: Son Of Rome. I'm interested in both? but I'm really not sure which game should I get first....so I think I need some opinions from players who have finished these two games:
1.Which game do you think is more immersive?
2.Which game controls are better? (im a pc gamer btw)
3.anymore game suggestions like these? Thanks for replying :steamhappy:

Ryse is fun for a melee based story game. You can use a controller with it if you wish, that is how i preferred to play it. Campaign could be completed in a day if you binged it or spread out across 3 days. If you have played games like GoW, Bayonetta, or The Witcher than you should be comfortable with the combat.

Forgotten City is very much a puzzle game, Without walkthroughs you could spend awhile just trying out different paths to beat the game. Controls are very easy with mouse and keyboard. There are sections that require reflex or precision but it's forgiving. The history focus is there but that is just one part of it. Can't go wrong with either game.

Combat and story choose Ryse. Puzzle and Story choose Forgotten City

I have both games, and loved them both. RYSE is more of a combat game, focusing on quick combat with a story to back it up.

TFC is a time-looping game where you use things you've learned from previous loops to progress the plot and solve the mystery(ies?). It is very intriguing, and combat is pretty much optional and very limited to a few areas / scenes.

RYSE is kind of like LOTR: Shadows of Mordor in it's combat... Been a while since I played it, IIRC there are QTE's (which I 'm not really a fan of), but they weren't too many or too difficult.

So which one to get? Well, that's up to you and what you're into. Combat? Or story?

If you like Time-looping games, check out "12 minutes". That was a fun little game.... and the ending was an absolute shocker! (It's in modern times though, not classic antiquity)

Also, you may need some guides, as it is not always easy to figure out what to do. I played it on mobile (my smart phone) because it was free (IF you have a Netflix account), however it also available for PC, and on STEAM to purchase.
