Are you guys having fun in FM these days?
I really struggle to find FM any fun. I feel like the game has gone done over the past 5-8 years maybe, and nowadays I just don't find it fun. I feel like it's too heavily scripted, yet random in some aspects. I just feel like your doings don't matter that much.
Do you have a lot of fun? What do you do to have fun? Do you change often teams? Do you let the assistant play the games to have a more "owner" type of role? Do you stick to your absolutely favorite team? Or discover leagues and clubs you've never heard before?

I just got back into this and set up a save in Ireland as Shamrock Rovers and the plan is to take them into europe and improve irelands reputation

I enjoyed working up the Scottish divisions in fm 2017 from Stirling to Ross county to Aberdeen then Celtic. Then went across to Roma and dominated Italy but no European title.

the most fun I had in fm was fm19 mobile. Before this maybe fm12. RIght now I feel like I am playing Dark Souls instead of FM19 touch. Because it is constant tactics tweaking to see what works and what doesn't and a ♥♥♥♥ ton of save scumming.

So FM19 Touch is that way but mobile was fine? Or did you write FM19 touch instead of 20?
Maybe mobile is better after all. FM became way too much of a hassle when it comes to tactic. If it was realistic, why not, but it's so far from reality that it kills it

Im playing FM since more than a decade 2019 was a huge disappointment, I still play(ed) it, but you´re absolutely correct. It´s all scripted, I mean of course it is, its a computer program, but it´s horribly "visible". I go through the whole season with every team having 25-5 chances in every game and opponents horrible goalkeepers and defense always having their best day of the whole season, performance spikes against me. Not much in this game makes sense. If you play offensive you mostly lose against these horrible teams, if you play defensive you´re scoring or if you win too much, game forces to balance you back and weird things start to happen. Like in a game with 30-1 chances the weak enemy team scores 2 goes after minute 90, with dream goals shot by crap players from 40 meters and wins 1-2 against my meanwhile parking and game controlling bus. Really?

After testing 2019 I started to play 2019 touch btw. but its also the same scripted crap. At least I dont have to click on the horribly repetetive (for many years the same system) and stupid interview questions like a trained monkey

Since they decided to milk us by providing the same game each year with some minor changes and try to hype it to make sells, I abandoned it from my focus completely

Oh yeah and another thing bothers me hard about FM series. While teams are trading high transfer sums between each other, I cant remember when I last time got a big offer for any of my players. They mostly offer market prices for my players or slightly above. I never played with the real "topteams" that currently ruin european football

Fm 18 and 19 were awful. Played a lot of fm 17 which was great. Not that much of 20 but it seemed pretty good. 21 is good too.
