The Walking Dead: The Final Season isn't loading

I have a good Acer Nitro Gaming PC, but whenever I try to open the game it freezes. Please help if possible, thanks!

go to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead

RIGHT click on Properties on the WalkingDead App

and then COMPATIBILITY and check the RUN THIS PROGRAMME IN COMPATIBILITY WITH....

select WINDOWS 7 ..

APPLY AND OK ..

LAUNCH THE GAME

It's freezing for me, too! Doesn't even make it past a black loading screen. I'm not having issues with other games, so I don't understand what's wrong.

I also have a Acer Nitro Gaming PC. Game is loading and working perfectly.

No it's Not. I can run the game on Windows 10 and 11 and compatibility with windows 7 is Not required

Likewise. Freezes up almost immediately on launch. And I have a decently powerful PC. Verified local game files and nothing was off, either.

Probably is related with the servers being down as the company has almost disappeared. These games had an online check at the beginning to sync past save games. Steam should also verify this kind of stuff as they get a cut for every game sold. The games hence should work.

I'm having the same issue, the game launches and I get a black screen, it hangs and crashes. Nothing. I have a Win 11 ready PC, with parts I picked out in December, so the minimum requirements are definitely met...

another simple fix.
windows key, settings, system, display, graphics settings, under graphics performance preference, find the launcher.exe and select high performance gpu.
fixed it for me
