Nah.

Gameplay is interesting but balanced like like a jenga tower after a 60 minute game on a shake plate, and he UI is as responsive as my dead uncle. The difficulty spike between the first few levels and the first boss is steeper than my gas bill in November, and the Oxygen drones are just useless

not even 3 hours in and I can already tell the story is gonna be a generic juvenile "Humans bad, weird goblins good because nature or whatever" and the fact a stone age societ can take down a mech with spears is still dumb. They have explosive charges but are still using stone tip arrows. I don't care what draw weight their bows are, they aren't piercing homogeneous steel plate, and they definitely ain't doing it with a big rock. They don't even have giant log traps that would at least make some semblence of sense.

I think the most frustrating part of the game is that the art shows a giant robot shooting all the bad guys but once you play the game you realize 1. you don't have the ammo to do that so you have to step on everyone the whole time, and 2. you have to walk backwards onto people attacking you from behind.

after that the whole game becomes a rhythm game of trying to step on people at the right moment rather than a power fantasy of shooting natives. but the game obviously expects you to spend at least half the time just stomping around without shooting. if the trailer was just 10 minutes of stepping on natives I'd understand but I feel like I was sold a vision that doesn't quite exist. In a perfect world the guns would simply never run out of ammo, and the natives would never run behind you so you'd just play the game like the trailer suggests. running and gunning and having a fun time.
