Grimshade crashes during opening cutscene

I can give relevant specs if necessary, beyond "64-bit Windows 7", but during the opening, when it switches to a video instead of being in-engine, the video comes up garbled and a blank Unity error window appears very briefly before the game crashes to desktop.

Really, that's Unity issue.

We maked a beta branch, which consists a previous version of the game(without improved performance), and can be accessed by switching beta version branch on Steam.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope Unity will fix this bug ASAP.

Same as you, 64 bit Win7. More than capable specs. Crashes right after the introductory cutscene, right where I'm assuming gameplay would start.

Try to download and install Codec pack ("K-Lite Codec Pack" for example) and try again.
Let us know if the problem remains.

I actually did before posting this (since I had an old CCCP version installed) and nothing changed, though I haven't rebooted since then. I'll check that later, especially if aubri reports success.
