Long story short Sony doesn't approve of such things and had an influence on how the game turned out.
Something close to what you want are the official art made for the game like the wall scrolls and special wallpapers.
If you find those images online (there are a hell of a lot) it gives a hint as to how the game was originally going to be.
sony is such a blight and has ruined the trajectory of the game industry. i'll never forgive them
Its really noticeable in games like this because you can almost see where the service scenes (if not full on H) were supposed to go.
There are even different endings for the gals which just screams eroge.
But then again this is also a trend in the industry like how they remade Utawarerumono and kept out the special things.
Although... then again, they were first removed for the Sony port so yep, probably just Sony causing all this,
But yeah... sadly no H scenes ;_; Just bunch of fan service showing her sexy body, and for some reason in the anime the often would zoom in on her lips, Is that like some kink I never heard of? Or maybe some deeper meaning they never explained?
I actually vastly preferred the earlier episodes for the summer vibe. Sometimes you just want to enjoy summer like with Aria the Animation, far slower.
I actually disliked the winter arc quite a lot in the anime.
Possibly because they didn't spend as much time with making us attached to the winter setting and characters unlike with summer. Or I just prefer the original direction of the story being about destiny and reincarnation.
As for lips no that is just a visual cue to the audience which either shows that the main character is attracted to her or that the gal is being alluring.
It comes from the phenomena in real life where people tend to stare or glance at another's lips when they want to kiss.
The trope also serves to give extra texture to scenes similar to how an artist might focus on the consistency of a pastry that is being cut into.
Sometimes extra details like this just adds to the scene especially for romance if you don't want to just rely on the standard blushing scenes.
I feel you, I guess you have to be on the right "mood", I found out about this anime cause I was looking more into horror/mystery/drama type shows like Higurashi, Boogiepop, Hell Girl etc etc...so wasn't expecting the slice of life vibes lol
I agree they should had expanded more on the Winter arc much more, felt kinda rushed but it was pretty cool when the tile/op of the show changed to match new setting, never seen an anime do that before without it being a new season.
And that explanation about the lip shots makes sense! Kinda obvious now that you explained it lol... Im a face and leg guy so I dont notice stuff like that XD I kept thinking that one shot of Rinnes legs around 1 min into the OP where her realistic calf muscles but turned out to just be shadows.. idk if everyone wonders that when watching the OP >_<
1. For something like mystery/horror vibes I'd recommend XxxHolic or Mushishi.
2. Quite a few anime do that but it does show an extra amount of work and quality that they put into it.
3. Checked the op and yes although that is a shadow the reason why it looks like that is because the light angle. The shadow is following the contour of the calf.
So you were half-correct in your original assumption
Its still just a shadow and not the muscle since that is mostly done for athletic characters.
