FFC is coming to the Steam Deck!

One of the most popular requests we get is whether we can push out a "proper" build of Fighting Fantasy Classics on the Steam Deck. It's a great platform for handheld gaming, and seeing as the FF books were technically some of the very first on-the-go games for Gen Xers back in the 80s, it's a perfect fit.

We're currently adding in controller support as well as updating FFC's saving system to allow for multiple save slots per book. We're also adding in cloud saving, which is obviously super important for FF fans playing on their computer and Steam Deck. A new build will be pushed out in a couple of weeks and we'll then request deck verification from the Steam gods.

There will also be an announcement in the next few weeks about new FF titles coming to the library! If you follow the TMG channels on X or Discord, you may already have seen a few clues! ːwarlockorcː

Having turned 50 recently, it has been a treat rediscovering the FF books that I enjoyed so much in my youth. I was actually looking to buy the complete set of books 1-59, originally published by Puffin Books, due to having given away my originals years ago to a nephew. "The Forest of Doom" download crashes the game

Hi, I mentioned it in the SteamDeck thread but thought it might be more appropriate to make a separate topic for the sake of visibility. I have bought and installed a couple of stories ("Bloodbones", "House of Horror", "The Citadel of Chaos", "Caverns of the Frost Witch") and all of them work great on my deck and my PC. I also bought "The Forest of Doom" and while trying to install the story, the game crashes with a Unity error and fails to start. I have reproduced this about 5 times already, both on the d...

Our 17th Fighting Fantasy gamebook has sailed into the Fighting Fantasy Classics library! The 66th book in the series, written by Ian Livingstone in 2017, is an instant classic as it transports you to some famous locations in Allansia where you may bump into a few familiar faces from FF lore.

This is a double celebration for us as we celebrate the start of Melbourne International Games Week. It's going to be a busy week away from the glare of our monitors, where we'll mingle with our games industry peers and celebrate the awesome games that have been created by Australian developers. Steam are hosting a special MIGW landing page containing a host of Victorian-made games, many of them on sale for the week, including all of our previous FF Classics DLC releases.

I absolutely love FFC to get the books physical it typically cost 20-60$ depending on the book and quality. You can get the same book with an amazing atmosphere and similar way of playing for only 4-5$ sometimes less on sale. A FANTASTIC DEAL! I only wish for the entire collection!
