I realise this game is designed with controllers in mind, but I have no controller. So is it possible/feasible to play this with mouse and keyboard?

And I've swapped to "simple controls" as well which were even worse than the regular ones. I don't understand why they couldn't just make it control as simple as something like billy hatcher and the giant egg. This just seems like trying to pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time but you have to constantly swap which one you're doing and it's just dumb. i've played a few stages and i am really struggling with the controls, mainly turning. why isn't it just. the left stick controls where i roll, the right moves the camera. why do i hold up or down to turn? i'm just so confused and keep bumping into stuff cuz i can't turn how i want...

The game launches in a windowed mode, and starts with a tutorial?!? How the hell do I get to the options menu? IS THERE AN OPTIONS MENU??? Why the hell does it just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ start? This is my first Katamari game, and 10 minutes in I HATE THIS....
