When the iron mine becomes a golden mine, it doesn't count as a update. Also, I can never, never update the musician and the saloon, no matter what I do. Is it a bug or...? Please help me, developer.

I got this game and added it to steam this morning, but it refuses to launch via steam. I get an error message stating that the .exe does not exist. I can however launch it straight from the install folder, so clearly the .exe is there. Since steam won't recognize the game, I am assuming this is why the ingame achievements don't work?
