My friends recommended me this game for the ghost yuri and I ended up getting some of the most heartwrenching, most genuine writing I've seen in a long time. The humor and the hurt in HotW are both fantastic, and it all feels grounded and natural, with even the harshest tonal shifts not coming off as weird or whiplash-y.
Every third line of Morgan's felt like a punch in the gut, and I mean that in the best way possible. The cast of this game is fantastic, they bounce off each other wonderfully and their struggles are written with the kind of incisive detail that comes from close experience. Do yourself a favor and play with the sound turned up, too––the voice acting and soundtrack add a whole other layer to the experience.
If you've ever felt aimless in life or uncomfortable in your skin, give this a shot. (Also give it a shot if you just like well-written queer romance, that part's really good even if you don't relate to the other stuff.)
