Haven't played since school back in the late 80's, but don't remember a bank in BT1. I have one city map that shows a bank, but another that it's just an empty building. There's an achievement for it, but I assume you get that in BT2. Really, the thing I've been trying to remember is whether or not there's an actual need for the bank. OK, so I finally got to level 13 with my Conjurer and my Magician, so I was able to swap them both to Magician and Conjurer. What I DIDN'T know, was that when you switch classes, you start back at Level 1 in that class. So I went to the Catacombs (as I wasn't finished yet), with my Level 1 Conjurer/Magician and level 1 Magician/Conjurer in the back of my party, and they're both, level 6 SORCERERS now, because they leveled up so quickly, because they started back at level one for each class change. I've been there from the beginning, though only got to play 1, never got to play 2 or three till now, though always wanted too. My library had a copy of bard's tale 1 in it and was so excited at the chance to play. I even bought 2's strategy guide in antidipation of playing, but my old comodore's sid chip died before I could play it....

Summers of 88 & 89, I was 13-14 years old. I used to play Bard's Tale from a 5.25" floppy on a Commodore 128. Later on in 1998 I bought the "Ultimate RPG Archives" which had the BT Trilogy.

Seriously.... (post describes the tower so if you don't wanna know, don't read....) I'm a few decades older than the Internet. I'm a veteran explorer. I know how to "grind" xp or loot. I don't *mind* grinding....when it serves a purpose. I remember the days of keeping paper notes and maps for video games. But Dargoth's Tower (especially the 4th floor) is absolute rubbish and I *hate* it.
