Number of Mouse clicks are different between me and my friend
So I was trying to help elikos1 yesterday in getting to Lea in the fire and rescuing her. We did the watch me/join game option from Steam.

I had rehearsed a bit and did the scene as slowly as possible and also to point out the time you could move slower and not rush and other times when the timing had to be a little more tight.

I use four clicks in total to get Daniel to pierce the heart once with the stake. One click was just to lock onto the meter I suppose because nothing registered. Then I clicked three times, each time the meter filled one third of the way and I was done with the first stabbing. This part is also not timed so it can be done slowly and the meter steadily filled.

Then I went and finished up and at Lea I had to move more quickly so I just clicked away and was done. Turned out it was about nine clicks and was successful.

So now elikos1 was anxious to show me his game and I was so surprised to see his results.
He needed nine possibly ten clicks to stab the heart one time. One for locking in possibly and then he registered nine to fill the meter. I could see his mouse icon's red field blinking rapidly as the meter filled so much slower than in my game. So 27 clicks to pierce the heart to completion.

Now as that isn't timed that wasn't too much of a deal but when it came to Lea he also needed to click three times more than me. He had so much time when he moved correctly and got there in time (using the stasis at full power and keeping the hanging monsters at bay) but with well over twenty clicks he just ran out of time.

I never knew there could be such a difference. I'm guessing this isn't really a bug but it is a game breaker for elikos1 Does anyone know what causes this problem? Is there a fix we can pass on to elikos1?

Thanks for your time.

( 83 hours in game play so far and I am enjoying every minute)

Hi there. Elikos runs the game on a machine, which runs at half of the minimum requirements (CPU and GPU) needed. So in his case it's sadly an expected behavior.

Okay, I was wondering about that. Now I have sent him a link to an auto clicker. Do you think that would help?

To be honest, I don't think so. We were doing some measurements before I put the minimum requirements and I even put there slightly better than minimum cpu (eg. the game will run at i3 eg.) In Elikos case though we are talking about much, much older generation of CPUs and especially in the Clearing mist scene, where there is a lot of stuff going on, including AI and visual effects, there's no way to tell, if he can go through this.

Okay I understand. What I think we are going to do is have him send me his save file and I'll complete the task and then get him on his way with Lea.

That would be extremely helpful. I believe that he probably won't encounter more "complicated" scene after this one. Thank you so much for helping elikos1.

Sorry one last thing here, fingers crossed : )

Can you give me the pathway to the saves. I was poking around and I couldn't find them.

sorry to hear that. well if need be when you get to upgrade your computer you can come back and try again. I have had a game or two which was too advanced for my then computer and I just waited until that day came when I had a better system.
