Game is on sale!!!
I just gotta ask, buying the game and all seasons pass for $110 is a good price right?
I mean if we are comparing to the original prices of all the dlc, that would bring it up over $400!! So i think its safe to say this is a immediate get for people who like fighting games?

If you want the game, the price is decent (game, not season passes), I would really just get the characters you want and costumes as individual items, it would be cheaper this way as it's still steep pricing. But if you really have the cash to spare, it your choice ultimately.

Sadly with the game being rather dead now in the online space outside a small group, it's past its prime as most the community is waiting (and hoping) for the next entry, DOA7 (not that its likely to happen anytime soon if at all).

SP doesn't cover all costumes in the game. There are also "revival" sets or something like that.

Also depends how long you plan to stay in game. 110$ is still not cheap, at the same time I pay 20-30$ for one skin in TFD...

i think buy the game first then look into costume preview see how you like it or not but seasons pass are cheaper and have extra item that can't buy separate if you don't care about get costumes you won't use then go for it

I played it for an hour. I was not interested. Refunded everything. There were combos like Tekken and some other things that were very not DOA to me. I will stick with Virtua Fighter 5 Revo.

Thank you for your opinions! Much appreicated.

Calling yourself fighting enjoyer and playing just one good, but extremely outdated VF?)

There were combos like Tekken
Combos seems to be in all fighting games. Or am I missing something?
If OP is referring to power blows, DOA5 doesn't have those. That is a cheep combo, The other ones, more skill/practice is needed.

If a game has no combos, then a beginner would be as good as an veteran player,

5 has power blow while 6 has a cheap version of power blow call break blow

Nope, you need neutral, defense, punishment, frame data e t.c. I wish DOA had VF's movement.

Look, I play the game as a homage to my father who i watched as a kid play in the arcade.
I bought and refunded DOA6, I have tried DOA5 on ps4 before didn't like it, I just bought and refunded that garbage Street fighter 6.

I prefer the old fighting games. In fact I even go to galloping ghosts arcade bi weekly to play at the actual arcade against people.

I am waiting for Project Virtua Fighter, but both DOA6 and Street fighter 6 are a no go for me to many animation break cancel special energy moves

and that is weird because the name Sechs means Six and normally I got good luck with them.

Even street fighter 6 had dumb ass combos like tekken in them now.

I'll stick with ultra street fighter 4, the classics, and virtua fighter.

I still don't understand what you mean by combos, because, to me, this looks like combos in VF5 REVO:

The DOA6++ mod might be a thing to try for the OP. IIRC that is what it is called. It rebalanced the game, but I don't know much about it.

I don't understand the no animation/no combos either. I think they are in the games you play. Its probably a nostalga thing you have. I know My first fighter game was DOA2, and I can never get the same feeling I had playing that game for the 1st time many years ago.

I don't care for the 2d fighter games too much as I got used to 3d early on. I like moving any direction. Mortal Kombat series is my favorite 2d fighter game. I just got Tekken 7. My first Tekken game. I feel meh about it. IMO it has some of the worst voice acting and music even in a fighting game. They dropped the ball on that. But I digress. A lot of games have been brought up, so I thought I'd mention the ones I've tried.
