Was very excited when i got my code for this prequel, but then i launched the game and... And encountered the levels of peasantry i didn't even think were possible before. Pause button is "P" (yes, i'm bloody serious). The only place it is ever mentioned is manual, and you can't rebind it. You can't rebind menu controls (confirm/cancel). For god sakes stop tagging this as Metroidvania it is NOT....

every time I view "trending/new released metroidvania games" This shows up This is NOT a metroidvania when they say castlevania they mean like Castlevania 3 Dracula's curse or like the first two ...NOT Symphony of the night. This is why steam needs to remove user tags and make devs add all appropriate tags last time I came here the tag was removed because I assumed enough people reported it but now its back ......

Is it weird that I like this game more than the NES Castlevania?

I know it's a hot take, but I have actually grown to love Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon that much. And I haven't even gotten the sequel and Ritual Of The Night yet.

great game i guess but playing this has been kind of a pain. some may call these mere pet peeves and minor complaints but to me its just making me think id rather fire up mesen instead. its clearly a good classicvania game with good graphics and interesting mechanics but for me

- it wont go full screen
- doesn't detect all controllers
- when it does it sometimes doesnt detect input on controller

and thats enough for me to be irritated. still getting past that, its great. those issues arent enough for me to leave a negative review
