Tbh even just having 1 single controlling the whole campaign and the other person just sharing units and being able to control some would be good enough for us!

Yes this would be a great start. We loved playing the campaigns together this way.
But it would be a bit cooler if it get the possibility to act similar in case of the truth p1 vs npc1/p3 - p2 vs npc2/p4. the finish guys supports the running match with some called reinforcements which could be choosen @ the beginning like the reinforcements u can choose in challenges with using Iron and oil. So u need to buy ur help.
That would be the best solution and still balanced for a very <3 liked co op mode in 2022.
