i got the game around when it first came out and paid retail price only time I was able to play a game was joining the community discord server other then that only other time would be when the game had a free weekend when the dlc came out with the new faction it was really overpowered since it was mainly flying and air vehicles which non of the other factions had my take with this game is i enjoy it well enjoyed it since i dont play anymore but everytime i wanna play it always has to be with a bot since u cant find a game with real people.
It also didn't help that there were actually balance problems that became a major issue when the Operation Eagle DLC dropped and they added new units. For most maps, Usonia is straight better Early Game; which allows a good player to snowball. The new Air Units also upset balance since they can be extremely strong and force building certain units just to counter them. So it really threw what little competitive multiplayer there was into a tailspin.
That's not to say the game is unplayable or you can't counter Usonia/Air units... It just makes it a chore and in a "same skill level matchup" a Usonia player has a natural advantage.
