The reason is that the story has been left so open. The fight against Fenris was just getting started but then it was left on the Rusviet Revolution. Unless you're saving it for a sequel, it seems odd that you would end the story with still so much expected.
And it's not like you don't have anything to work with. You still have the Nordic Kingdoms, Crimean Khanate, Albion, Towgawa and Franco. An you only have to look to the fan art for a sea of mech ideas. I once saw someone design an entire line of Albion mechs.
And as I said there is still so much of the main story line to explore.
I'm NOT asking you to get to work right away and crank something out as soon as possible. In fact that what I think is wrong with the modern entertainment industry. If you want to take your time, I would much rather wait years for a timeless classic then months for a so-so story. Just please remember what it is we really want.
More indepth base building and defense like classic RTS games...
Like Tempest Rising.
If the development is not dead then what will be the next thing for this game then? If no future patches and such it is good as dead or abandoned if the main goal is only new seasonal events and rewards which is totally pointless if you ask me.
Rather do the other way around drop the season events and rewards and focus on working for future patches to further optimize the game and utilize better hardware resources.
