I'm a bit disapointed/perplexed by the ending. It seems inaccurate. Can anyone explain it to me?

First, when Mayuri went back in time, it should have changed the current time line (ie, the divergence meter should have changed). Now, later on in the Milky Way Crossing Okabe is going after her under the idea that she is lost. This would explain why the divergence didn't occur.

Now. When he makes and sends the video to the past detailing what to do. THAT should have immediately changed the present, ie the divergence should have shifted to Steins Gate.

Basically he should have gone from making that video, sending it as a D-Video and then boom! He should have found himself arguing with his Mrs (Kurisu) and their couple of kids.

But it didn't happen. This is inconsistant with how it works.

Also, what's with Kagari being there? She's dead. Sasuza is 7 years old which means the Kagari girl shouldn't be born yet. On top of that Mayuri isn't there to adopt her anyway.

Which means that's the Kagari from 2010. If that's the case, A) she looks really young, B) she's dead, and C) she changed her self through plastic surgery to look like Yuki. So why is she her old self. That doesn't make sense.

Can anyone make sense of this? If I find out they short cutted or rushed the end because of time/money constraints, man I am going to be pissed.... because the first one was an epic story that had a fantastically finalised ending where everything was explained and everything came together.

Also, there's something else, SERN should be back into the picture because Okabe used the D-Mail. So it should have been recorded on Echelon.

There's too much inconsistancy at the end of this and I just came off of the first one going straight into the 2nd one doing a complete 100% playthrough and man am I disapointed.

Can anyone explain it? Am I missing something?
