it worked for me, but i used a different link so i don't know about this one. it should be the gog executable and its dll's (to make the exe work)

I wanted to add something that might be good for people researching this issue. My friend has been having this issue since he got the game. He asked me to verify my files so then I could match my number of files to his and see if he's missing something. HOWEVER when I did, my game RECOVERED a file, and now my game is also having an endless "Updating Executable" with me unable to launch the game. clearly it can't be a file players are missing, but a file in the game that's causing this issue. Hope this helps with the search to fix the game.

You are actually a saint.

FOR ANYONE WITH STRUGGLES!!!! load the link, however it takes a long ass time to load, windows will say its a possible virus but its not. click download anyway and allow things to load. the file is a replacement for the actual game's JustCause2.exe file. In STEAM, browse local files, and open a second separate files page, downloads, then drag the new .exe into the JC2 files, and replace the one that was in there. Hope that helps a little!

Thanks, I replaced the main exe with this one, launched from Steam and it worked.
